"Jetzt ist die Gnadenzeit" (#223)

German text in the Gesangbuch:

Jetzt ist die Gnadenzeit,

jetzt steht der Himmel offen;

jetzt hat noch jedermann

die Seligkeit zu hoffen.

Wer diese Zeit versäumt

und sich zu Gott nicht kehrt,

der schreie über sich,

wenn er zur Höllen fährt.

My prose translation:

Now is the time of mercy;

Now Heaven stands open;

Now everyone still has

Salvation to hope for.

He who misses this time

And does not turn himself to God

Screams over himself

When he goes to hell.

No author is listed.

As far as I can tell, this hymn isn't in The Lutheran Hymnal, Lutheran Worship, or The Lutheran Service Book.  According to the Gesangbuch, the text is sung to the tune "O Gott, du frommer Gott."
