"Christ fuhr gen Himmel" (#119)

German text in the Gesangbuch:
1 Christ fuhr gen Himmel, da sandt er uns hernieder
den Tröster, den Heiligen Geist,
zu Trost der armen Christenheit,
Kyrieleis.

2 Halleluja!  Halleluja!  Halleluja!
Des solln wir alle froh sein,
Christ will unser Trost sein,
Kyrieleis.

15. Jahrh.  Verfasser unbekannt.
My prose translation:
1 Christ went to Heaven where He sent to us here below
The Comforter, the Holy Ghost,
For the comfort of poor Christendom.
Kyrie eleison.

2 Hallelujah!  Hallelujah!  Hallelujah!
Therefore we should all be cheerful;
Christ will be our comfort,
Kyrie eleison.

15th century.  Author unknown.
As far as I can tell, this hymn isn't in The Lutheran Hymnal, Lutheran Worship, or The Lutheran Service Book.  According to the Gesangbuch, the text is sung to "its own melody."  There's an arrangement of the tune in Telemann's Fast allgemeines Evangelisch-Musicalisches Lieder-Buch, although even with the help of the tune, I'm not sure I have the line breaks in the right places.
