"Nun treten wir ins neue" (#55)

German text in the Gesangbuch:

Nun treten wir ins neue Jahr,

Herr Jesu, rett uns aus Gefahr;

wend ab in dieser bösen Zeit

Krieg, Theurung, Pest und alles Leid.

Wir bitten, laß dir insgemein

die drei Hauptständ befohlen sein.

Gib uns dein Wort und Sacrament

im Lande bis an unser End.

Bekrön das Jahr mit deiner Güt

und uns mit Segen überschütt.

Daß solches Amen sei und wahr,

von Herzen wünscht der Christen Schar.

My prose translation:

Now we enter in the new year,

Lord Jesus, save us from danger;

Turn away in this wicked time

War, inflation, plague, and all grief.

We ask, on the whole, let to You

The three main positions be ordered.

Give us Your Word and Sacrament

In the country until our end.

Crown the year with Your goodness

And shower us with blessings.

Amen that such would be and true,

Wishes the Christian congregation from the heart.

I think I translated "die drei Hauptständ" fairly accurately as "the three main positions," but I'm not sure what this means.  It could be a reference to Luther's three estates.

As far as I can tell, this hymn isn't present in The Lutheran Hymnal, Lutheran Worship, or The Lutheran Service Book.  According to the Gesangbuch, the text is sung to the tune "Vater unser im Himmelr[eich]."  Here's the arrangement from Telemann's Fast allgemeines Evangelisch-Musicalisches Lieder-Buch:
